Joana Preto is a nurse, health communication consultant, educator and speaker, with 17 years of professional experience across public and private healthcare settings. Her clinical background spans dermatology, pneumology, primary healthcare and oncology, complemented by a Master's degree in Cosmetic Science and experience in scientific education, editorial direction and brand strategy.

Since 2020, she has dedicated her work to helping organisations navigate the space where science, health, beauty, culture and human behaviour intersect, translating complex expertise into clear, credible and purposeful narratives.

As an educator and speaker, she brings scientific knowledge into professional training, learning environments and public discourse, connecting evidence with practice and making complex subjects accessible, relevant and meaningful. Her approach combines clinical insight, scientific rigour, strategic communication and brand strategy, enabling organisations to strengthen their positioning, build understanding and create meaningful connections with their audiences.
